On a rainy night, Inspectors Morales and Vega are dispatched to an apartment where a brutal crime has taken place. The victim, a young woman found disfigured and tied to a sofa, shows signs consistent with the pattern of a serial killer who has been spreading terror in recent weeks. But this carefully staged scene hides something far more disturbing: snuff videos, unsettling photographs, and the suspicion that a second victim might still be alive.
As they explore the house and descend deeper into its spiral of violence, the inspectors find themselves caught in a macabre game where nothing is as it seems. What began as a routine police investigation turns into a psychological and physical struggle against a brilliant, twisted, and dangerously close mind. Soon, they’ll discover that the true mastermind behind the crimes is not who they expected… and that the horror they face is only just beginning.
David Gutiérrez Torres is a director, director of photography, and colorist based in Madrid. He made his first short film at the age of 11 and has maintained a continuous connection with the audiovisual world ever since. Trained at the TAI and CES schools, he has over 20 years of experience in advertising, film, television, music videos, and fiction.
As a director of photography, camera operator, or colorist in his most recent fiction work, his credits include short films such as Canciones Verdaderas (2022), Jauria (2024), and Límites (2023). In music videos, he worked on Agua segura by Denise Rosenthal feat. Mala Rodríguez (2021), and in documentaries such as Women on a Roll (2022), Prestige (2022), and WTCR: Dos mentes, un sueño (2023). Among the clients he has worked with in fiction or advertising are names such as Netflix, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Vichy, Iberia, and Paradores.
His debut feature film as a director of photography, El Efecto Darma (2023), earned him the award for Best Cinematography at the “Cine no visto” Festival in Linares.
After more than a decade focused on cinematography and color since his previous project as a director, Contrato de permanencia (2012), he returns strongly with Snuff (2025), a personal and cinematographically ambitious project in which he brings together all his technical experience and visual sensitivity.
