DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY – HANS LEIN
After directing youth theatre performances for twenty years, often using film, Hans trained in directing films.
Fascinated by the aesthetic, manipulative and narrative possibilities that films have, as seen in Under the Skin by Jonathan Glazer, The Selfish Giant by Clio Barnard or Toni Erdman by Maren Ade, Hans moved to his native country.
At the film academy De Ritcs in Brussels, he trained in narrative, technical and artistic skills. In 2017, he completed his master’s degree in audiovisual arts. His bachelor’s thesis Safe Zone and his master’s thesis Vamos were shown at various international festivals.
